Roast Or Praise is an AI-powered web application that provides playful, humorous critiques or enthusiastic praise for photos of your setups, rooms, objects, and more. Upload an image, choose your side (roast or praise), and receive a detailed AI-generated analysis with a score, archetype, and witty commentary.
How It Works
Our AI analyzes your uploaded image using Groq's vision models to understand what it sees. Based on your choice, it either playfully roasts the details it finds or provides enthusiastic praise. Each response includes a 0-10 score, a creative archetype classification, and detailed commentary. You can then share your results with custom-designed cards on social media or via shareable links.

Privacy & Data
We respect your privacy. Images you upload are processed server-side for AI analysis. Images and roast results are stored temporarily (24-hour expiration) to enable sharing functionality and reduce redundant API calls. If a PostgreSQL database is configured, data is stored there; otherwise, data is stored in-memory (lost on server restart). No personal information is collected or stored beyond what's necessary for the service.
Technology
Roast Or Praise is built with Deno, Fresh framework, and uses Groq's fast GPU-accelerated AI models for image analysis. The application uses client-side image resizing to optimize performance and reduce API costs. Optional PostgreSQL database support enables persistent storage and sharing functionality.
Sharing & Content Safety
You can share your roasts and praises with custom-designed cards on social media platforms like X and Reddit, or via shareable links. All shared content is automatically checked for inappropriate material, and images may be blurred if red flags are detected to ensure safe sharing across platforms.
Rate Limiting
To ensure fair usage and prevent abuse, we implement rate limiting: 10 requests per minute and 100 requests per hour per IP address. This helps us maintain service quality for all users.
